Buying pre-owned sneakers online is a little different from buying new — a few extra minutes of checking up front save you a headache later. Here's what actually matters.
Listings on eBay typically show a condition like "Pre-owned," "Good," or "Very Good." Don't assume — check the photos and the description for specifics on sole wear, upper condition, and whether the original insoles are included. A pair listed honestly will usually call out any flaws directly.
Sizing can run differently across brands and even across models from the same brand — a Hoka Bondi doesn't necessarily fit like a Hoka Clifton. If you're buying a model you haven't worn before, it's worth a quick search for that specific model's sizing notes before you commit.
Feedback and transaction history tell you a lot fast. A seller with a long track record of accurately-described, well-packaged shipments is a safer bet than a brand-new account with no history — regardless of how good a deal looks.
If a listing doesn't answer your question — exact measurements, a specific angle of a photo, anything — ask before purchasing, not after. A seller willing to answer questions upfront is usually a seller worth buying from.
